Counselling
Counselling is an opportunity to examine your inner world, life events, and anything causing confusion or distress, so that you can gain greater self-understanding. It can also be a time to explore the psychological and somatic patterns that may be keeping you stuck so that you can create more space, and consider new options for coping and thriving. I work from a relational, harm reduction, trauma-informed, and somatic orientation to help clients connect with their inner healing intelligence as they work towards their definition of recovery.
Nurse Practitioner Mental Health Services
As a Nurse Practitioner, I bridge the gap between clinical expertise and holistic care. While I utilize tools like diagnostic assessments and lab work, I maintain a non-pathologizing view of psychological distress, and focus on supporting your process, rather than DSM definitions.
Please note that while my practice remains open for regular counselling, I am no longer offering general psychiatric medication management. I am happy to collaborate with your primary care provider to ensure continuity of care, but all other prescriptions and medical needs must be managed through them.

Sessions are available online, or occasionally via outreach. Sliding scale is available based on income, so please contact me if price would be the only barrier to service.
Rates - $250/60 minutes for new clients
Outreach rate = negotiable depending on location
Fees are due on the day of the session, and may be paid by cash, e-transfer, or credit card.
Sessions are online, unless other arrangements have been made. You will receive a link to the session via Jane App approximately 30 minutes prior to your session. Please use Chrome as your browser, and please ensure you have a reliable internet connection.
Cancellations: After an appointment is made, unless I get 24 hours notice that you won’t make it, you are responsible for the full fee. If you give me less than 24 hours notice, and I succeed in finding someone to take your appointment, your fee will be waived. The cause of missing an appointment is of no consequence: this policy is not punitive; it is to cushion me from the vicissitudes of your life.
Insurance: If your extended health plan covers Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC), you may be eligible for reimbursement depending on your provider’s limits.
Eligibility: My practice is limited to BC residents aged 19 and older
Meet Keren
Hi. My name is Keren and I'm a dual qualified Family Nurse Practitioner and Registered Clinical Counsellor with two decades of experience in mental health, substance use, and harm reduction. I blend solid education in mainstream psychiatry and psychopharmacology with specialized training in psychedelic and somatic therapy, and extensive personal experience navigating non-ordinary states of consciousness. My core values include trauma-informed practice and a non-pathologizing approach to understanding mental health and distress. I aim to support clients to move towards greater psychospiritual integration through counselling, working with medicines, and Psychedelic-Assisted Psychotherapy.
